NAUI SCUBA DIVING COURSE

Embark on your underwater adventure by enrolling in the NAUI Scuba Diver class, the perfect entry-level certification course. Here, you will gain the fundamental knowledge and skills needed for safe open water diving. Earning your NAUI Scuba Diver Certification card is a significant achievement that prepares you for a lifetime of underwater exploration and discovery.

During the NAUI Scuba Diver class, you will learn about modern dive equipment, diving sciences, responsible diving practices, and the marine environment. The course starts with video lessons and classroom sessions covering the basic theory of scuba diving, followed by snorkeling practice. Finally, you will progress to open water training dives, where an instructor will guide you through the necessary skills to ensure you are comfortable in the water and with your equipment.

What is included:

Confined water (3-4 shore dives), Open water dives (2 boat dives) & 1 fun boat dive.

NAUI Open Water Scuba Diver Course

Open Water Course Package (2025)

What is included :

Guided boat dives.
All dives include tanks, weights and belts.
Daily Meals at Babura Restaurant:
- Option 1: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- Option 2: Breakfast only.
Transportation service from Tekek jetty to resort and back.
Add an additional third dive for only RM90 per boat dive.

What is NOT included :

Ferry ticket: To and fro Mersing/ Tanjung Gemok.
Equipment rental:
- RM60/day for full equipment.
- RM40/day for BCD & Reg only.
Marine Park Fee:
- RM5/pax for local
- RM30/pax for non-Malaysian.
- Paid at Mersing/ T. Gemuk counter.
Sustainability charge (State Government)
- RM3/night per room.
Room tax for non-Malaysian (Government)
- RM10/night per room.
Additional charge on public and school holiday

Notice:

Before check-in/ after check-out from the resort, your luggage can be safely stored at the Tioman Reef Divers office while you are diving.

Early Check-In (before 12 PM, subject to availability): RM30 per room
Late Check-Out:
- Extension up to 2 PM: RM30 per person
- Extension until 4 PM: 50% room rate
- After 4 PM: Full room rate

Cheers Chalet policies

Check in : 3pm, Check out : 11am
Additional charge (weekends & public holidays): RM20 per pax per night for Chalet & Deluxe Chalet

Reservation and Booking

Reservations are guaranteed only after we send you a booking confirmation and you have paid your deposit.

Payment terms

Deposit: RM500 per person required upon booking.
- Deposits are non-refundable but can be carried forward if necessary (see Cancellation Policy for further details).
Remaining balance can be paid in advance or after your dive.

Cancellation Policy

Initial deposit: Non-refunable but can be used towards your next dive trip, provided that:
- You postpone at least 3 weeks in advance in writting.
- You use the deposit within the same year.

Unsued Dives

There will be no refund if you decide not utilise the dives included in your package.

Conditions for diving

Leisure diving packages are available only to certified divers.
All divers must sign a Liability/Release Form (Waiver) upon arrival and abide by all diving and safety rules of the diving centre.

Enhance your underwater skills by enrolling in the NAUI Advanced Diver Course where you'll have the opportunity to explore new dive sites and deeper depths under the supervision of a NAUI Instructor. This course focuses on advanced underwater skills, including low visibility and deep diving.

During training, students complete a minimum of six open-water dives; this includes three separate dives for navigation, night diving, and deep diving (130 feet/40 meters of maximum depth) and three remaining dives of the available options:

Wreck diving (non-penetration)
Diving for photos and videos
Diving in surf or currents
Using dive computers
